Pretty Patches contributor Minki Kim has established a reputation as a talented stitch artist, but the US designer has now brought her flair for enchanting illustrations to her first fabric collection for Riley Blake Designs.
Available in UK retailers now, Dear Diary features 21 prints in Minki’s trademark style, with sweet and playful designs that turn everyday images into charming illustrations.
From coat racks and kitchen counters to cameras and sweet kitties, Minki brings a little magic to her fabric world, with an elegant vintage-style palette that she explains was a natural choice. ‘I picked my favourite colours – yellow, blue, grey, pink,’ she told Pretty Patches, ‘and the other colours come along after.’ Minki has also created a set of gorgeous projects with her new fabrics, which will shortly be available to purchase from her website www.sewingillustration.com.
Alternatively, order or download a copy of Pretty Patches 39 for instructions on how to make a beautiful set of appliqué coasters stitched by MInki with prints from the new collection.
