Pretty Patches - 2015

2015

The weather at this time of year is just crazy, isn’t it? You head out

of the door in glorious sunshine, only for the heavens to open five minutes later (cue me typically returning home
looking like a drowned rat). And whenever I think it looks icy cold outside and wrap up nice and warm, I find myself peeling off layers and wishing I’d brought my sunglasses.
However, as quilters and crafters, the Great British Weather is the perfect excuse to get making – after all, we need to be prepared for every eventuality!

Inside this issue

Our cover star this issue, Tula Pink’s ‘Lolly’ quilt, is a gorgeous, colourful project that will brighten

up the dullest days. Debbie Shore’s pretty hot water bottle cover and Kajsa Kinsella’s stylish autumn cushion will keep you cosy at home, whilst our super-stylish autumn cowl and lovely fleecy dinosaur mittens will help you and the family stay warm – and look fabulous – when you’re out and about.

Dare I say it, Christmas is just around the corner (less than 90 sleeps at the time of writing – not that I’m excited!) and this issue is packed with gift ideas so you can get started early.
Look out for ‘Make it for Christmas’ boxes throughout the magazine, which contain fabric suggestions and ideas to help.
Enjoy the issue!
